Lisa Morrow Asked: how does a bank expect me to show proof of income when my shop has only been open for 2 months?

I opened a silk floral and boutique on April 30th. I have spent pretty much all i had saved getting set up, stocking and keeping my rent and utilities pd. Of course although i made some money as a new business that money went right back into the store. I have no employees, I do everything myself. All my floral arrrangements are made by me, i make some of the jewelry i sell and a few other things. I applied for a $5000 line of credit at my bank where i have been doing business for over 20 yrs. I have never been late on any loan, and also have a retirement acc,t in this bank of about $65,000. To get this line of credit ihad to let them put a hold on that amount of my retirement. I also have an investment property that i rent out and it needs some upgrading and new plumbing. I applied for a $15,000 loan for this purpose and the rest to help me further my business line. I was turned down for not having enough income although my husband's income was also used on this loan as discretionary income.This rental home is nothing elaborate but any home that is standing and livable is worth $15,000. My loan officer then redid the loan and i was going to put my retirement acc't as collateral and she said then i should have no problem. Well that is not the case. As of Friday I have been told they need last yr's tax returrns and my loan officer even says they are being ridiculous, The money is there to secure this loan. They use it to loan to other people but won't loan me it t me. I hate to cash it in and pay a bunch of taxes but I am so ready to leave this bank. Oh, and before anyone ask about my creit it is 700 or more. I had not worked for 6 yrs before starting this business because my mother had alzheimers and i took care of her until she passed and then i worked part time for 6 months last yr and then decided to do this busines. Just want other peoples opinion on how this bank has treated me.
