Today we welcome local Debt Help Advisor John Roberts of debtsurvival.co.uk. John met with me this week to discuss what his business can offer to you as a Local Expert. 

So, John, how long has debtsurvival.co.uk been established in the Billericay area?
JR: We have only recently moved into this area about a year ago, although we were well established in Watford for 10 years prior to that.
 

LE: Have you always been in the Debt Help business then John?
JR: No, I started in 1999 in Financial Services and found I needed to help some clients when times changed for them.

LE: With the recent changes in the Finance markets has it become more commonplace that people need Debt Help?
JR: Very much so, we help people everyday to freeze the interest charges from their unsecured lenders. Setting them up on a Debt Management Plan that they can afford to stick to.

LE: Do you offer many different types of Debt Help John?
JR: We have to conduct a short fact find with our clients and see what the best help will be. Sometimes the best help is Bankruptcy, sometimes an IVA, but usually it is a Debt Management Plan.

LE: So do you have to charge your clients a fee, do they need to pay to talk to you?
JR: We don’t charge the clients anything up front at all. We take a percentage of the first 3 payments we agree with the lenders. That’s how we get paid.

LE:So they can come to you with their debts and you help to make them more affordable without them paying anything extra, is that correct.
JR: Yes that’s pretty much it.
